Collaborative Environment

IGRAC's Collaborative Environment consists of the Digital Project Workspace and the Global Groundwater Forum. If you are involved in an international groundwater-related project you are most welcome to use Digital Project Workspace. The Global Groundwater Forum can be used for both internal, project-based discussions, as well as for broad, general public discussions on various groundwater issues.

Digital Project Workspace

ACCESS YOUR WORKSPACE

In the project workspace documents can be posted, upgraded and archived in a systematic manner. Use of 'Project Roles', 'Document Under Version Control', 'Change Notification' and other options available in the workspace can substantially alleviate and improve project management. Beside, you can use the workspace's Discussion facility to organise correspondence around various project issues. In principle, the granted project space is accessible only for project members. However, the project team could 'Publish' some documents (e.g. project results) or make a Discussion Forum publicly available. If you have any question about registration and the use of the workspace please let us know.

Send us also your comments and ideas and help us in assisting you.

Project Workspace is powered by BSCW.

If you are a leader of a project, you may send us a request for a project space in the Workspace. IGRAC's decision on this request will depend on practical considerations and on the degree to which the mentioned project activities are in line with IGRAC's objectives and ambitions. Once your request is granted you will be able to organise a digital project workspace and make it available for the project team members; the team can then access its workspace from any computer having a browser and an Internet connection.

Legal disclamer

  • Access to a project space will be granted to the project team during the project execution (this under the condition that IGRAC will exist at least as long as the project in question). Since the Project Workspace has a limited number of licences the user-specified access to the project workspace will be terminated immediately after the project is rounded off.
  • After the project is rounded off the project documentation could remain in the Workspace and made available through the Public Space (under permission of the project team).
  • Since the Project Workspace has a limited number of licences IGRAC can grant the access to a project space only if (at that moment) unused licences are available.
  • IGRAC intends to maintain project data during the project execution. If IGRAC cease to exist before the project is rounded off, all the data contained in the Project Workspace (at that moment) will be downloaded, archived and made available to the project teams.
  • IGRAC is not legally responsible for any loss of data in the Workspace due to breaking into IGRAC server (hacking), mistakes made by project team members, or any other reason.
