IGRAC Director Neno Kukuric will visit Malawi, Namibia and Zambia as part of a capacity building programme for groundwater data collection and management within and across the SADC member states. This is a programme commissioned by the recently established SADC Groundwater Management Institute (SADC-GMI) in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
During these country visits, Kukuric will interview respresentatives from ministries, water authorities and water companies in:
- Lilongwe, Malawi
- Blantyre, Malawi
- Lusaka, Zambia
- Windhoek, Namibia
Previously, IGRAC has worked for SADC-GMI, developing the SADC Groundwater Information System (SADC-GIP). This SADC-GIP gives access to the harmonised hydrogeological map for the SADC region, borehole data and associated information.
