On 7-8 December 2022, the UN-Water Summit on Groundwater 2022 will be held at the UNESCO HQ in Paris, France. The registration for this event, co-coordinated by IGRAC, is now opened. Also a call for pre-summit side events, which will be held on 6 December, is now open until the deadline on 15 June 2022.
From 18 to 20 May, Sorbonne University in Paris will host an international conference on the role of groundwater in the (Sustainable Development Goals) SDGs. Groundwater resources have a key role to play in the SDGs. Either directly in terms of food, hygiene and health, protection and restoration of ecosystems and biodiversity, or indirectly, for the reduction of poverty and inequalities, contribution to education and gender equality, peace.
The Groundwater Project, which is a Canadian non-profit charitable organisation committed to contribute to advancement in education, has made available online high-quality groundwater educational material for all. This includes numerous books, covering almost every topic related to groundwater. And all material is available for FREE here.
