IGRAC and the partners continue the implementation of a Global Groundwater Monitoring Network Programme in Africa with a workshop for the SADC region in Lusaka, Zambia  on 15-16 November 2012.

The Global Groundwater Monitoring Network (GGMN) programme is set up to improve monitoring of state of groundwater resources at the regional and global scale. The GGMN is a people network supported by a sophisticated web-based tool. The GGMN programme includes a development of the network of skilled hydrogeologists, processing of monitoring information and optimisation of monitoring networks. At the same time the GGMN is being coupled with on-line monitoring systems world-wide.

More information on the GGMN SADC workshop is available in the announcement.
