The World Water Forum is the world’s biggest water-related event and is organized by the World Water Council. Its mission is “to promote awareness, build political commitment and trigger action on critical water issues at all levels, to facilitate the efficient conservation, protection, development, planning, management and use of water in all its dimensions on an environmentally sustainable basis for the benefit of all life”.

IGRAC's participation
On Thursday 22 March 2018, IGRAC will launch its 'Groundwater overview: making the invisible visible' during the World Water Day 2018 celebrations at the 8th World Water Forum in Brasilia, Brazil. This official launch will take place at the Planalto Auditorium from 9:00 to 10:30. The groundwater overview is a UN-Water publication and more information about this document is available here.
One day prior to the official launch, IGRAC Director Neno Kukuric will already give a sneak preview to this publication by giving a presentation in session: [SE-29] Fostering transboundary water cooperation in the 2030 agenda, which is organised by UNESCO-IHP. This session will take place in Room 41 on 21 March from 11:00 to 13:00.
Apart from IGRAC's presence in sessions, there will also be a representative in the UNESCO Water Family booth at the Expo & Fair.
