Arnaud joined IGRAC in 2018. He has been involved in several transboundary aquifer assessment and capacity-building projects, mostly in Africa. His activities also include the development and the maintenance of the GGIS and some MAR activities.
Arnaud is a hydrogeologist with a background in geology and geography. He was trained in various field techniques (e.g. geophysics, dye tracing, groundwater monitoring) before delving into groundwater models. He has experience in karst, porous and fractured rock aquifers.
Arnaud first graduated at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), then at the Université Laval in Quebec City (Canada), where he completed a Ph.D. in 2017. As a student, Arnaud had the chance to visit other universities, in the Netherlands, Ethiopia, Estonia and Italy. He also worked as teaching assistant.
Arnaud is co-chair of the IAH Commission on Transboundary Aquifers and a member of the IAH Commission on Managed Aquifer Recharge.
