UNESCO and the Kingdom of the Netherlands have signed the agreement on the establishment of the International Groundwater Resource Assessment Centre (IGRAC). The right moment to celebrate, reflect and look forward.
IGRAC has officially become an UNESCO centre. It is legally an independent foundation and in-house partner of the UNESCO-IHE, in Delft, the Netherlands. The centre works also under the auspices of World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) and this event is an invitation to other international organisations and countries to join IGRAC's groundwater activities. Since 2003, IGRAC provides independent content and process support to the assessment, monitoring and management of internationally shared groundwaters. The centre promotes and facilitates worldwide exchange of groundwater knowledge and contributes to the assessment of global groundwater resources. Let IGRAC become your portal to groundwater!
